The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee said on Friday that Muslims in Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul Adha on June 17 following the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon.
Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, presided over the moon sighting committee, which was attended by members of the central and zonal committees as well as representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, SUPARCO, and the Met Office.
In the meantime, subcommittees met in their different cities, including Lahore, Peshawar, and others, to collect testimony.
