ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, President Dr. Arif Alvi of Pakistan received a call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who asked for Pakistan’s backing for a draft resolution to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Zelenskyy cited his ten-point peace formula in his request. The president stated that the conflict in Ukraine continues to cause Pakistan great concern during their conversation. According to the UN Charter, a peaceful resolution to the conflict was supported by Pakistan, he said. He claimed that the Pakistani government was reviewing the resolution’s draft’s content. The two leaders talked about the political and economic ties between Pakistan and Ukraine as well as the energy and food security problems that the developing world is currently facing in the wake of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
