Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, urged the international community on Wednesday to put UN resolutions into practise, particularly with regard to stopping Israel’s savage acts and the pogrom against defenceless Palestinians in Gaza. “Pakistan is in contact with friendly countries regarding the implementation of UN resolutions,” the spokesperson stated during a media interview. “Pakistan has a clear stance of a two-state solution of the Palestinian conflict based on 1967 borders,” she stated. “It is also promised in the United Nations’ resolutions and certain international agreements that Palestine must be recognised as an independent state and it is the right of Palestinian people,” she said.
