At Governor House in Lahore, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan met with the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Women Empowerment and Development Committee delegation, which was led by Convener Maryam Qasim Khan. Saleem Haider Khan, the governor of Punjab, spoke at the event and emphasised the value of women in society. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, he claimed, was a model of female bravery. According to him, the Pakistan People’s Party supports women’s empowerment. According to Governor Punjab, a society cannot advance until women are included in all aspects of life. The fact that Pakistani women are actively involved in a variety of sectors is admirable, he remarked.
