The government would not allow any cross-border terrorism, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared on Wednesday in response to recent clashes on the Pakistan-Afghan border.
Eight persons were slain by Pakistani “intelligence-based anti-terrorist operations” in the early hours of Monday in the Afghan provinces of Khost and Paktika, according to the interim Afghan administration.
The Hafiz Gul Bahadur group was the target of the strikes, according to the Foreign Office, which confirmed them. The group had previously attacked security troops in North Waziristan, killing seven soldiers.
Afghanistan forces retaliated to the airstrikes by using heavy weaponry, like as mortars, to target troops in Kurram and North Waziristan, which are located over the border.
With the exception of the Angoor Adda border, firearms were silent on both sides of the frontier on Tuesday, which was comparatively calmer.
