White powder in threat letters contains ‘10% arsenic’

Sources told the media that the forensic report of the powder contained in enigmatic letters written to Supreme Court justice and justices of high courts has been received by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
Fear spread throughout the judiciary when letters were received by at least four Supreme Court judges, eight Islamabad High Court judges, and six Lahore High Court judges.
The threatening letter was most recently received by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi of LHC.
The CTD started an investigation and filed two FIRs against unidentified individuals.
The sources revealed that the letters contained arsenic diluted with white powder. They added that a larger concentration of the substance can be “very poisonous” and dangerous. They also disclosed that the powder contains 10% arsenic.
