Weekly inflation eases by 0.22%

According to a report released Friday by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), which measures weekly inflation, decreased by 0.22 percent for the combined consumption groups during the week ending October 24.

The SPI for the group in question during the week under examination was 319.09 points, compared to 319.79 points the previous week, according to the PBS statistics.

The SPI for the combined consumption group increased by 15.15 percent in the week under review compared to the same week last year.

With a base year of 2015–16 = 100, the weekly SPI includes 51 important components for all expenditure groups and 17 urban locations.
