Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, announced on Tuesday that the Ministry of Education had been ordered to convene a “National Curriculum Summit” in order to determine the required reforms and bring the nation’s educational system into line with contemporary standards.
Speaking at the Model Assessment Framework introduction ceremony held at the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) auditorium, he stated, “We want to take the national curriculum beyond the O and A level education system.”
In order to conduct a “comprehensive review” and develop and execute a contemporary curriculum system for the nation, he advocated for bringing together professionals from the public and private sectors to talk about educational changes.
