US want transparent elections in Pakistan: Nuland

 On Friday, Jalil Abbas Jilani, the acting foreign minister, and Acting Deputy Secretary of State and Under Secretary for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland discussed important matters concerning the US-Pakistan alliance. In order to facilitate the safe and prompt resettlement of qualified Afghans into the United States, Acting Deputy Secretary Nuland and Foreign Minister Jilani spoke about issues of shared interest. They also concurred on the significance of inclusive, free, and fair elections conducted in accordance with Pakistani law. The current violence between Israel and Hamas was discussed by Foreign Minister Jilani as well as the acting deputy secretary.
