UK’s Rishi Sunak calls free Palestine chanters ‘idiots’

According to Al Jazeera, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has  attacked a well-known pro-Palestinian cry that is often heard at protests all around the world. During a speech before the British parliamentary group  Conservative Friends of Israel, he declared, “Those who chant ‘from the river to the sea’ are either useful idiots who do not understand what they are saying, or worse, people who wish to wipe the Jewish state from the map.” “Those who encourage or glorify terrorism or spread anti-Semitism on our streets will not be tolerated in any way.” Al Jazeera reports that although pro-Palestinian organisations interpret the song as expressing their yearning for liberation from oppression throughout the historical land of Palestine, supporters of Israel argue it is an anti-Semitic and violent incitement to bloodshed.
