The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced an extension of the $2 billion debt that Pakistan was supposed to repay this month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif informed the federal cabinet on Tuesday.
In his televised opening remarks at the federal cabinet meeting he chaired, the prime minister informed the members of his “positive and constructive” meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Rahim Yar Khan, where they talked about ways to further bolster investment cooperation and bilateral ties.
According to him, the president of the United Arab Emirates emphasized the importance of advancing the investment projects quickly and reaffirmed his nation’s dedication to strengthening its long-standing alliance with Pakistan.
