Donald Trump, a previous US president and Republican presidential candidate, won the 2024 US election by securing 277 electoral votes.
In a close contest with Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris, who garnered 226 votes, Trump has emerged as the 47th president of the United States, according to the US media.
Trump defeated a female opponent in the presidential election for the second time. He reached the White House in 2016 after defeating Democrat Hillary Clinton.
The US president will be chosen by the candidate who receives 270 of the 538 electoral votes.
In Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, Trump has won. In Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, and Michigan, Trump received 19 electoral votes, 16 in Georgia, and 15 in Michigan.
