Multan: Increasing incidents of robbery, kidnapping for ransom in South Punjab, traders are worried Chamber of Small Traders South Punjab has demanded the Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab, Additional IG South Punjab and Regional Police Officers to protect the traders and citizens. Officials of Small Traders South Punjab, President Choudhry Tariq Karim, General Secretary Sheikh Amir Saleem, Chairman Mirza Ijaz Ali, Senior Vice President Choudhry Atif, Vice Presidents Alauddin Mazari, Arshad Bajwa, Supreme Council Member Irshad Bhatti have said in a joint statement that South Punjab is currently full of bandits and the kidnappers are in the grip of Mailsi, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Rajanpur, DG Khan areas where robberies and kidnappings for ransom are common. The efficiency of the police is not being seen, due to which these incidents are intensifying, the traders are already worried about the country’s economic situation, political instability and inflation. They said that the Additional Chief Secretary, Additional IG South Punjab and The RPOs of Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sahiwal region have to take special measures so that traders and citizens can escape from these cruel kidnappers and dacoits. There is a need for a special operation by the police against these kidnappers and robbers.
