Three new roads worth Rs 210 billion to be built in Punjab: CM

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that building highways between large cities would not only facilitate travel for people but also have a significant impact on the socioeconomic development of such cities.
In a special meeting held here on Tuesday, the chief minister approved the construction of three new road corridors in Punjab. He stated that the Punjab government, along with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), would finish building these roads by December 2025, at a cost of Rs 210 billion.
Dual-carriage roads would be built as part of the project from Shorkot to Jhang Chiraghwali, from Rajana to Layyah, and from Sahiwal to Chicha Watani, Rajana. Additionally, a dual-carriage road would be built to replace the single road that runs from Dipalpur to Vihari.
