There is a favorable environment for investment in Punjab: CM Maryam

On Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was visited here by Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan Alexandra Berg von Linde.
Opportunities to improve bilateral ties were discussed at the meeting. With a focus on fostering an investment-friendly environment in Punjab, the talks covered possible cooperation in a number of areas, such as education, health, IT, agriculture, trade, and environmental sustainability.
With a significant emphasis on agriculture and assistance for farmers, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz declared, “There is a favourable environment for investment in Punjab.” She reassured investors that there is no need to worry about risk when making investments in the province.
The Swedish envoy praised recent investor-friendly policies and the Punjab government’s efforts to safeguard women’s and minority rights.

Swedish investors are keen to investigate prospects in Punjab, she said.
The conference was also attended by Syed Haider Ali, Sweden’s honorary consul general, and other officials.
In the meantime, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, has congratulated the Turkiye people on their Republic Day.
She emphasised in her letter on Tuesday that “We share in their joy on this significant occasion” and offered her heartfelt wishes for the growth and prosperity of the Turkish people.
“Our relationship is founded on fraternity and brotherhood, transcending mere diplomatic relations to embody the bonds of two great nations,” said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, highlighting the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Turkey.
The CM commended Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s leadership for Turkiye’s accomplishments.
