Thai CG for expanding trade with Pakistan

Thai Consul General, Thatree Chauvachata has said that the efforts are being made to expand bilateral trade with Pakistan. Speaking at a meeting of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI), he said that Thailand already importing Pakistani seafood on a large scale, trade volume could expand in other sectors also.

He said that Thai people have great respect and love for Pakistan and this relation could turned into strengthen economic bond. He said that to enhance trade volume between the both countries many efforts were under way. President KATI, Danish Khan briefed the CG

zabout economic significance and production capacity of Korangi Industrial Area. He said that new visa policy announced by the prime minister Imran Khan provides a great opportunity to investors. He said Pak-Thai friendship could be more strengthen by expanding economic cooperation. He noted that livestock and dairy were unexplored sectors by Thai buyers and investors; it should be come under consideration.

Head of KATI’s Standing Committee on Diplomatic Affairs Masood Naqi said that to enhance bilateral trade and economic relations there is need to build people to people contact accessible. He mentioned that as an agricultural country Pakistan can fulfil the food, vegetable and fruit needs of the Thailand.

CEO& Chairman KITE Zubair Chhaya suggested that to expand trade volume list of items should be shared. Senior Vice President Faraz-ur-Rehman, Vice President Maheen Salman, former President of KATI Syed Johar Qandhari, Ehteshamuddin and Farrukh Mazhar and others attended the meeting.
