ISLAMABAD: Faisal Karim Kundi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, stated on Tuesday that the current administration has always placed a high priority on assisting the underprivileged sectors of society.
\During an unexpected visit to the Benazir One Window Center in Islamabad, he was speaking. The One Window Center’s offices for various Benazir Income Support Program programs were visited by the SAPM. He spoke with the Center’s beneficiaries of various BISP programs and addressed their issues. Speaking at the event, Faisal Kundi urged the staff to maintain the center’s operations at all costs.
Additionally, he witnessed the dynamic registry’s creation process, which was recently launched by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Only those deserving people, according to him, whose poverty index is below 32, are allowed to sign up for the survey. Those with a poverty score of more than 32 are not eligible to be on the list of deserving. The SAPM stated that even though this center serves the needs of many different populations and can occasionally become overcrowded, the BISP team is able to accommodate them effectively. In addition, a 25 percent increase in the quarterly installment of Benazir Kafalat has been announced, which would increase the strength of counters at the dynamic registry of BISP, he said.
Faisal Kundi reminded the beneficiaries that no one can deduct any fee while receiving the BISP quarterly installment.
