Azam Nazeer Tarar, the minister of law and justice, announced on Friday that the federal cabinet had authorised a support package that would provide financial and legal assistance to the relatives of the missing people.
He announced that a gift of Rs. 5 million would be granted to each family of the missing people to help with their financial difficulties.
The minister announced at a news conference that the proposals of the two committees established to address the issue of missing individuals had been adopted by the federal cabinet. According to him, it has also been determined to take action, such as passing legislation and providing relief, to put an end to future disappearance cases.
He said that the cabinet has resolved to form a committee to devise a plan for providing impacted families with financial support.
