Vehari: Election Commission of Pakistan has extended the date of submission of nomination papers in Punjab by two days. Now the nomination papers can be submitted till March 16. In the series of general elections of the Punjab Assembly, the process of submitting nomination papers continued yesterday. Along with the party candidates, the enthusiasm of the workers was also at its peak. Candidates came to the Returning Officers to submit their nomination papers in huge processions and rallies in big vehicles. PTI’s expected candidates from PP 233 and PP 234, MNA Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry, Rai Zahoor Ahmed Kharl and Zahid Iqbal Chaudhry submitted their nomination papers to Returning Officers Muzaffar Khan and Kamran Bukhari along with a huge rally. Similarly, Naeem Bhabha, the expected candidate of (N) League from PP 234, also came along with the rally to submit nomination papers. While those who filed nomination papers from PP 233 included PTI leader Tahir Anwar Wahla, Mian Saqib Khurshid of Muslim League (N), Rana Fakhrul Salam, Rao Farman Kausar of Jamaat-e-Islami, Mian Nirab Khurshid, Muhammad Sadiq, Muhammad Nadeem Abdullah. While from PP 234 till now 24 candidates Zahid Iqbal Chaudhry, MNA Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry Naeem Khan Bhabha, Rao Nadeem Akhtar, Rao Naeem Akhtar, Muhammad Khan Khachi, Muhammad Saeed Afzal Khachi, Muhammad Saleem Nawaz, Syed Javed Hussain Shah, Javed Iqbal Khan, Muhammad Nadeem Riaz Ahmed, Ghulam Sarwar Khan Khachi, Muhammad Ashraf Khalid, Salman Bhabha, Syed Aung Hussain Shah, Shahzad Khan Khachi, former MNA Aftab Khan Khachi, Muhammad Naveed Akhtar and Irfan Ahmed Khan submitted their nomination papers.
