SPI inflation up by 0.28%

According to a report released Friday by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), which measures weekly inflation, increased by 0.28 percent for the combined consumption groups during the week ending October 17.

PBS data indicates that the SPI for the reviewed week in the aforementioned group was 319.79 points, down from 318.91 points the previous week.

The SPI for the combined consumption group increased by 15.02 percent in the week under review compared to the same week last year.

With a base year of 2015–16 = 100, the weekly SPI includes 51 important components for all expenditure groups and 17 urban locations.
