On Wednesday, Murtaza Solangi, the federal minister of information, broadcasting, and parliamentary affairs, reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to holding general elections on February 8. In an interview with the media, he stated that elections have been held in the past under the worst circumstances. Murtaza Solangi emphasised that compared to 2008 and 2013, the country’s current state was far better. Since the Caretaker Cabinet’s inaugural meeting, he noted, the government and the Pakistani Election Commission have maintained continuous communication. The minister stated that regular communication was taking place with ECP and that his visit was a part of that process.
