Seven soldiers martyred, 23 terrorists killed in IBOs: ISPR

In three distinct intelligence-based operations (IBOs) that saw the security forces eliminate 23 terrorists, a captain and seven other Pakistan Army soldiers bravely fought against terrorists and accepted martyrdom.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release states that on May 26 and 27, the security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province carried out three distinct operations.

Six terrorists were successfully neutralised by security personnel during an intelligence-based operation on May 26 in the general Hassan Khel area of the Peshawar District, and other hideouts were discovered.

On May 26, while fighting valiantly, Captain Hussain Jehangir and Havildar Shafiq Ullah also embraced Shahadat.

Ten terrorists were slain as Army forces successfully engaged the terrorists’ location on May 27 during another operation carried out in Tank District.

In the third encounter, which took place in Khyber District’s general area Bagh, security forces killed seven terrorists and injured two more.

But amid the fierce firefight, five courageous soldiers—32-year-old Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt of the Kahuta district— After fighting bravely, Naik Syed Danish Afkar (age 30, living in the district of Poonch), Sepoy Taimoor Malik (age 32, living in the district of Layyah), Sepoy Nadir Sageer (age 22, living in the district of Bagh), and Sepoy Muahmmad Yasin (age 23, living in the district of Khushab) embraced Shahadat.
