Senate chairman lauds technology-driven disaster response system

Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, the Senate chairman, praised Pakistan’s sophisticated disaster management systems and its use of technology to improve response operations on Friday.

The Chairman visited the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) at NDMA Headquarters with Balochistani Senator Manzoor Ahmed Kakar.

The Senate’s chairman expressed his sincere gratitude for the NEOC, a national miracle project. In order to facilitate strategic climate diplomacy space worldwide, he praised NEOC’s ability to serve as a guide for regional nations and other stakeholder partners.

He praised the use of cutting-edge technology in disaster management and said that for a prompt and efficient response, the proactive interaction of artificial intelligence, disaster modelling platforms, and national responders’ collaboration is essential.

The commitment and proficiency of the young NDMA domain specialists, who are setting the standard, particularly impressed him.
