According to Attaullah Tarar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Pakistan’s reputation has been further enhanced internationally by hosting the Council of Heads of Government meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
In an interview, he described the country’s effective foreign policy as the reason for hosting the SCO summit.
According to the Minister, the world is realising Pakistan’s potential and its significance as a major regional actor.
He emphasised Pakistan’s critical role in tackling challenges like as counterterrorism, climate change, sustainable development, economic policy, trade and investment, and peace and security. He said that the nation will gain long-term advantages from hosting the SCO gathering.
