SC issues notices to govt for Students’ Union

Regarding the restoration of student unions in universities, the Supreme Court has sent letters to the Federation of Pakistan and postponed the hearing till a later date.
A constitutional petition against the prohibition on university students forming associations and unions and engaging in political activities was being heard by a six-member Supreme Court of Pakistan constitutional bench led by Justice Amin ud Din Khan. The judges on the bench were Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Musarrat Hilali, and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan.
Muhammad Usama Amir, General Secretary of Islami Jamiat Talaba, and Hamza Muhammad Khwaja, through Secretary Federal Education and Professional Training Islamabad and others, have filed the complaints against the Federation of Pakistan. Federation of Pakistan vs. Pakistan
