Royal cheesemaker accused of polluting river: report

David Stuart Creamery’s license could be revoked after the Environmental Agency convicted him of 21 environmental crimes at the site in December.

According to the Daily Mail, the government’s environmental agency could revoke Creamery’s permit for polluting a river and killing “serious” fish.

According to the publication, Queen Elizabeth also enjoys the food prepared by the factory, which is the only company making cheddar in the country.

He said the anti-pollution group Fish Legal was investigating Creamery.

Speaking to the newspaper, the group’s lawyer Jeff Hardy said, “This case could serve as a warning to highly profitable industrial processors in our rural areas.”
