Robber killed in police encounter

Vehari: Babar alias Babri, the inter-district record holder accused involved in several cases of robbery and police encounter in Vehari police station area mitro was killed. According to the police spokesperson, the accused Babar alias Babri was being taken for recovery in a case of robbery on an official vehicle. That the accomplices of the accused Babar alias Babri near Mauza Jalal Qaham opened fire on the police party in order to free him from police custody. Allegedly, the accused Babar alias Babri was seriously injured by the firing of the associates of the accused. The police also took the cover of the vehicle and opened fire under self-defense. On which 4 unknown suspects escaped while firing. While the accused Babar died on the spot. An official vehicle was also damaged in the exchange of fire. The police shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was a resident of Dunyapur. The accused was involved and recorded in various serious cases in different police stations of District Vehari, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Sadar Dunyapur, Shujaabad, Galewal, District Arain and Raja Ram area. The DPO told that teams have been formed to trace the absconding unknown accomplices of the accused. And further legal action is being taken against them.
