According to Dr. Umar Saif, the  federal minister in charge of information technology and telecommunications, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is  causing a rise in FDI and determining the direction of the nation’s  development. Speaking at a Town Hall gathering while at the Pakistan Software  Houses Association (P@SHA) office, Dr. Saif stated, “In just five  months under the caretaker setup, we have accomplished 13 of 15  significant goals for the development of the IT and telecom sector. The forum of SIFC will prove to be a wonderful assistance for the forthcoming elected administration in the process of creating and  expanding the country, and the elected government will also gain  the benefits of the measures.”
