Residents protest against ‘unfair’ flour distribution

Kot Addu: Hundreds of men and women of Noor Shah Talai protested against the alleged unfair distribution of government flour, burnt tires and blocked Head Muhammad Wala Multan Road for all kinds of traffic, the flow of traffic was affected for several hours. Approved flour, known as Nurshah Point, is allegedly being sold to hotels instead of the poor, the protestors alleged, detailing the unfairness of women from poor families in Nurshah Talai, a suburb of Kot Addo. They protested at Noorshah Bridge against the alleged unfairness and burnt tires and blocked Head Muhammad Wala Multan Road for all kinds of traffic, which affected the flow of traffic for several hours. There are no men who cannot buy expensive flour due to poverty and the government comes every day to buy cheap flour, yet they spend the whole day and go home empty-handed, while the sales point shopkeeper is allegedly selling flour to hotels. As there is no bread for them, they have been forced to block the road; the protestors alleged that flour approved by the name of Nurshah Point is being sold to hotels instead of the poor.
