Representatives of UNICEF visit NMU

Multan: Representatives of United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Dr. Tahir Manzoor Health Chief UNICEF and Dr. Qara al Ain Immunization Officer visited Nishtar Medical University (NMU) and met the Principal Nishtar Medical College Prof. Dr. Rashid Qamar Rao in his office. During the meeting, a detailed discussion about the facilities available in Nishtar Hospital regarding the care and treatment of newborns and various issues related to the immunization program and the need for further expansion in bilateral cooperation was emphasized.  The chairperson of the Department of Gynecology, Nishtar Medical University Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani was also present on this occasion.  Later, UNICEF representatives along with Professor Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani, Dr. Syeda Ali, Dr. Saima Ashraf and AMS Administrator Dr. Ali Mehdi also visited the Kangaroo Mother Care Units established in Nishtar Hospital and expressed their satisfaction on the facilities provided and appreciated the efforts of the administration.
