Rehman Malik dies

KARACHI: Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik passed away on Wednesday morning. Senator Malik was being treated for corona virus complications in the intensive care unit at the Islamabad hospital.

The country tested positive for corona virus about a month ago. He was placed on a ventilator after his health deteriorated due to complications related to the virus.

Born in December 1951, Malik served as Home Minister from 2008 to 2013, having previously served as Additional Director General at the FIA.
