Rashid Khan appointed as PTCL CEO

The Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Rashid Naseer Khan as PTCL President and CEO. He succeeds Dr Daniel Ritz who was the company’s chairman since March 2, 2016.

In an official email to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday, PTCL stated, “We have to inform you that Dr Daniel Ritz has ceased to be the chief executive of the company w.e.f. 1st March 2019, and Mr Rashid Naseer Khan has now been appointed as chief executive. You may inform the TRE certificate holders of the exchange accordingly.”

It is pertinent to mention that Rashid Khan was the former chief executive of Ufone. He also remained the CEO and president of Mobilink for six years from July 2008 till August 2014. Moreover, he worked in Silicon Valley for almost 15 years for various international companies. He acquired extensive working experience in the technology sector while working at the valley. Rashid Khan was also awarded patents for his inventions.
