In the National Assembly on Tuesday, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah remained composed while inviting the PTI to formally engage in political discourse with the government, particularly in view of the committee the party established.
The PTI’s relationship with the government and establishment has deteriorated significantly since its founder, Imran Khan, was imprisoned last year on the basis of multiple cases. Over the past year, the PTI has staged a number of protests, the majority of which became violent in response to governmental crackdown.
Speaking in the National Assembly today, Sanaulllah remembered that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had made small conversation with the opposition during his visit to the house a few weeks ago and invited them to a meeting to discuss the matter.
