On Thursday, Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs, expressed hope that the government’s negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will result in a charter of demands by January 2, opening the door to a peaceful end to the current political standoff.
The first meeting between the two committees has set a favorable tone for the negotiations, according to Rana Sanaullah. The government will respond in writing after the charter of demands is presented.
He asserted that the government prioritizes the interests of the nation and takes negotiations seriously.
He claims that they seek to discover answers that both parties may agree with by taking a middle-ground approach to problem solving.
Additionally, he stresses the value of communication and collaboration in resolving issues rather than using drastic methods.
