Punjab minister assures to consider proposals of business community

Vehari: All Pakistan Chambers Presidents Conference was held in Rahim Yar Khan to deal with
the economic situation and discuss the agreed action plan of the stakeholders. President Vehari
Chambers Mian Khalid Hussain, Executive Member Mirza Muhammad Khalid and Khurshid
Anwar Secretary General participated representing Vehari Chamber. The purpose of the All
Pakistan Chambers of Commerce Conference is to gather the perspective of the business
community on the ongoing uncertainty in the country and to formulate proposals to deal with
the economic crisis. Federal Minister for Industry and Production Syed Murtaza Mehmood
speaking on this occasion has said that the government will include the proposals of the
business community in the policy for the improvement of the economy, at this time the
country's economy cannot afford any kind of political polarization. , we have to move towards
value addition, the government will prioritize the recommendations of the Chambers to bring
forward the non-traditional sectors, he assured that they will be available to the business
community at all times. President Chamber of Commerce Rahim Yar Khan Muhammad Iqbal,
group leader Abdul Rauf Mukhtar, Mian Muhammad Amir Shehbaz said on the occasion that
the All Pakistan Chambers Presidents' Conference presents the suggestions of the business
community to the government. While earlier President Vehari Chamber Mian Khalid Hussain
expressed that the international conference is being held at a time when Pakistan is going
through a difficult period in history, the foreign exchange reserves are at a very low level, Rs.
Depreciation is falling, exporters and importers are facing delays in letters of credit. Interest
rates are at record highs, inflation is high, and investor confidence is low. This important
conference was attended by presidents of 50 chambers of commerce from across Pakistan, as
well as leaders of the business community, economists and political parties.
