Punjab govt closes schools

As the province is severely affected by the air pollution crisis, the Punjab administration has closed schools in smog-affected districts.

In Punjab’s smog-affected districts, the provincial administration has mandated the wearing of masks.

According to Maryam Aurangzeb, the province’s senior minister, “schools will remain closed until November 17.”

The government has agreed that half of government and commercial offices will operate online, according to a Punjab minister who introduced online courses.

According to Aurangzeb, the Indian winds have had a negative impact on the cities of Multan, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Gujranwala.

A Punjab minister stated that a letter regarding the smog issue would be sent to the foreign office today. According to her, the government is changing the law to allow farmers to burn the remaining crops.
