‘PTI’s claims of forming govt are hollow’

On Friday, Khawaja Asif, the Federal Defence Minister, ruled out the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) chances of taking over the government in the near future.

The minister made fun of Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, by claiming that her tone and tenor in a recent press conference were meant to belittle the establishments and that no one would speak with them until they were brought to justice for planning the May 9 violence.

Imran Khan first denied any role in the events on May 9, but in the end, he accepted responsibility for them. In the National Assembly, PM Shehbaz had also reached out to the PTI. Political parties can communicate with one another to find solutions to any issue,” he continued.
