Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, stated on Thursday that Imran Khan, the imprisoned founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is not a political prisoner despite being charged with corruption and inciting violence. In order to spread havoc and anarchy throughout the nation, these allegations encompass inciting the populace to assault sensitive installations.
The international community should understand that Mr. Imran Khan is not a victim. He is not a prisoner of politics. During a briefing for foreign media, he and Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture, stated that he faces serious allegations and that no politician, public official, or celebrity in the Western world would be allowed to escape punishment for such actions.
