PTI founder, Faiz Hameed were partners: Khawaja Asif

On Wednesday, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif reaffirmed that Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and retired Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed collaborated on important political moves.

Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament House, Khawaja Asif asserted that Faiz Hameed was instrumental in the PTI founder’s ascent to power.

Khawaja Asif added that other civilians were put through military trials when the PTI was in power and stated that the law would determine the outcome of the PTI founder’s military trial.

He added that the “partnership” between Faiz Hameed and PTI founder Imran Khan started prior to the 2018 elections and persisted thereafter, including during the May 9 events.
