PTI ‘committed suicide’ by merging with SIC: CJP Isa

On Monday, Qazi Faez Isa, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), questioned why Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) “committed suicide” by uniting with the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) in the wake of the February 8 elections.
The PTI ally, the SIC, filed a challenge against the Peshawar High Court’s (PHC) ruling that allocated seats for women and minorities in the national and provincial parliament. The CJP made these comments during the hearing of the lawsuit.
Judge Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Ayesha A Malik, Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Shahid Waheed, and Justice Irfan Saadat make up the full court bench, which is led by Chief Justice Isa.
