Protection of minorities’ rights focus of fundamental agenda: PM

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated on Wednesday that the defense of the rights of the Christian community and other minorities is essential to the nation’s core goals of growth and prosperity.

Speaking at a Christmas celebration event at the PM House, he offered warm congratulations to the nation’s and the world’s Christian communities.

PM Shehbaz emphasized that the day called on the country to unite in support of the advancement of humanity. “The Prophet Jesus Christ (PBUH) and Hazrat Maryam (PBUH) are reveredly mentioned in the Holy Quran. Thousands of Palestinians, including women, children, young people, and the elderly, have been slain in the bloodbath that has soiled the birthplace of Prophet Jesus Christ today. To put an end to this violence, both Muslims and Christians should band together.
