In order to guarantee early prevention and lessen the burden of the silent killer illness, President Asif Ali Zardari urged cooperation between the private sector, civic society, and the media in order to increase public awareness of the dangers of diabetes.
“The disease can be controlled—and even prevented—through proactive measures by adopting a healthier lifestyle, regular exercises, balanced nutrition, and maintaining a healthy weight,” the president stated in his remarks on November 14, every year, which is World Diabetes Day, which raises awareness of the disease’s risks.
According to him, the subject for this year, “Diabetes and Well-Being,” emphasised the need of tackling the escalating worldwide diabetes epidemic and its significant effects on health and wellbeing.
The president claimed that sedentary lifestyles were the main cause of the rise in diabetes incidence.
