President signs bill regarding special courts for expats

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has signed a bill creating special courts for property disputes involving Pakistanis living abroad.
The new law will establish special courts to handle property disputes for Pakistanis living abroad, guaranteeing that their cases are settled in 90 days.
Under Article 75 of the Constitution, President Zardari also gave his approval to the Deposit Protection Corporation Amendment Bill 2024.
The measure to create special tribunals to protect the property rights of Pakistanis living abroad was approved by the Senate on October 17. The measure was introduced by Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik and passed unanimously, but Ali Zafar of the PTI asked that it be submitted to a committee due to possible false allegations.
