President for enhanced collaboration with Rhodes Trust

ISLAMABAD: On Friday, President Dr. Arif Alvi emphasised the need of strengthening ties and cooperation between universities in Pakistan and the Rhodes Trust at Oxford University. The president also urged Pakistani universities to deepen their links with internationally renowned institutions, especially the University of Oxford, during a meeting with a delegation of the Rhodes Trust, which was led by former Senate Chairman Waseem Sajjad and CEO of the Rhodes Trust of the UK, Elizabeth Kiss. He said it was commendable that the Rhodes Trust supported and counselled Pakistani students in addition to offering scholarships. The president claimed that the students’ counselling would enhance their potential.
