In keeping with the possibilities for economic cooperation between the two nations, President Asif Ali Zardari has placed a strong emphasis on promoting barter trade and economic links with Iran.
He was speaking with Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, who paid him a visit today in Islamabad.
The President of Pakistan, reaffirming his commitment to fortifying relations with Iran, advocated for cooperation in order to address the shared obstacles that confront both countries.
The Ambassador, for his part, stated that although ties between Iran and Pakistan are becoming stronger with time, more needs to be done in terms of bilateral trade, banking cooperation, and air and business links.
The Chahbahar-Zahedan railway, he claimed, would help Pakistan’s trade with Turkiye, Europe, and Central Asia.
