President confers military awards upon serving, martyred armed forces’ personnel

In recognition of their valiant protection of the nation, present and deceased members of the armed forces have received military decorations from President Asif Ali Zardari.

These honours were given out during an investiture ceremony on Sunday at Islamabad’s Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Among these honours are 41 Hilal-e-Imtiaz Military and 1 Sitara-e-Basalat given in memory of the deceased.
