Following the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), a coalition partner, has also submitted a review appeal against the Supreme Court’s decision to award the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) reserved seats.
Farooq H. Naek filed the case on behalf of the PPP, attempting to reverse the July 12 ruling of the supreme court regarding the allocated seats for women and non-Muslims.
The PPP contested the PTI’s claim to the reserved seats in their appeal, claiming that the former ruling party had not made any such claim.
On July 15, the PML-N appealed the same ruling in the Supreme Court with a review petition. Among the questions posed in the review petition was whether the reserved seats should go to the SIC.
