Senior PPP politician Sherry Rehman has said that the results of the Lahore election, in which party leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari lost to Attaullah Tarar of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), were rigged. According to the unverified and unofficial results, Tarar received 98,210 votes in NA-127, while PPP’s Bilawal received 15,005 votes, placing him in third place. Rehman claimed that although Bilawal was ahead in the polls, the results were suddenly altered at a news conference on Friday in Lahore. She claimed that the election was rigged by delaying the results. Rehman also bemoaned the fact that on election day, internet and cellphone connections were unavailable, which made it difficult for candidates and voters to participate in the election. She continued, “We are fully aware of the true motivation for the termination of mobile services.
