Political stability brings economic stabilization: Gillani

The leadership of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has concurred with Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani that political stability is essential to economic growth and success.
He urged the LCCI leadership to build strong relationships with the political parties in his Monday speech to the business community here at the LCCI. He pledged to set up face-to-face talks with federal ministers and the leaders of Senate Standing Committees.
He claimed that issues near and dear to his heart are economic development, corporate expansion, and promising commercial opportunities. He stated that he had prioritized trade, industry, and economic development while serving as prime minister. He urged cooperation in order to overcome obstacles and take advantage of opportunities.
