MULTAN: Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed of the PML-N stated that negotiations were necessary to bring down the nation’s political mercury, which had reached new heights of hostility. He spoke to a private news channel and shared these opinions.
He suggested a “grand national dialogue” for all political parties while expressing his deep concern over the current state of affairs in politics. The parliament, he said, was the best venue for inter-politician consultations, but the PTI had already submitted its resignation from it. He added that the PML-N, on the other hand, had always welcomed debate with its rivals. The only way for civilian supremacy, he claimed, was through the parliament, so PTI Chairman Imran Khan should enter.
Replying to a question, he said PML-N will continue to struggle for the survival of democracy, adding, “We are not scared of elections but need justice”.
